Velox Aequitas

Tentatively I am setting Sunday as the day when I will be hosting, and hopefully with your help, the Recruitment Drive. The essence of this event will entail lots of announcements in public, so lots of public speaking, that will be the welcome mat for new faces to join our guild in our event. We will be warmly welcoming all to come have fun with us so they can get an idea of what our guild is like to hang with; and on the back burner our motive is to have more members.

What will we do on this day to entertain everyone? I had thought about dungeons, but that can be too tiresome and too taxing in trying to divvy groups and coordinate it all. So I thought I would host something in memory of Jilaena, a back to back PQ Extravaganza. Where we pick an area and do all the PQs in that chapter to wipe them out. I figure most people love getting those off their tome as completed and they combined will give good loot to everyone that needs it as well as good experience.

Im still open to suggestions on it though. Also, let me know what time, if you want to assist, can make it Sunday. that way I can set a tentative time for attendees to plan for.

UPDATE: The first answer in the POLL is An Entire Chapters PQ. I can't see to edit Polls so just an FYI if you couldn't figure out what I was talking about.

with how active is the new server , rvr can also be an interesting idea for this purpose i guess.

I am open for the "any of the above" option.

We will be in after 11am or so for the remainder of the day.

Moving this to next weekend. Here is why and in no particular order of importance:

1. Meghey, who would be assisting me has computer failure
2. Hanzel who is married to Meghey will be fixing her computer.
3. I slipped on stairs and fell on spine and continued the rest of the way to the floor on my backbone. Nothing broken, but I feel like I've been critted for 2343253 damage by a thousand witches.
4. This was in its "final stage" of organization planning on only a couple days before the event.. Needs to be planned properly.

So look for the event next weekend, and show up to assist if you can. No real hard involved on any's part but mine, but will be nice if someone can be there to assist.

I planned on getting on today just to say hello, but I am going to take meds and lay back down instead. I can only be on computer while standing up since I can't lay down and play. Bending is like 300 knives in my back, so I'll avoid sitting at all costs until healing up.

Not sure I'll be on the game that early Sunday afternoon. Foresee grocery shopping after church unless it is done before I get home from my conference.

Wanted to follow up on the event today for the Recruitment Drive:

In all honesty, I thought it was a pretty good success. We had a decent turnout and had several pickups mid-event as well. Overall I think everyone enjoyed it that attended and we invited some new faces to the guild. So considering we had maybe 10 join the warband, 2-3 joined the guild. That's a decent conversion rate that I can live with.

Furthermore, I was worried about choosing PQs as the event central focus, but I was shocked to find many players are actually interested in PvE at the public quest locations. I feel confident we can continue these type events for future recruitment parties; however, I do wish I had seen some DMG types from our guild to help out in killing the champions and heroes at the quests. I was the main DMG for the event and I am completely spec'd for healing only. Needless to say the progression through the PQs took me considerably longer than it should.
